Can I stay anonymous?

Certainly. Our platform is built on the promise of privacy. We understand that therapy is a personal affair, and to that end, we uphold the highest standards of privacy. The purpose of our platform is to not only help you feel safe, but comfortable enough to open up to your therapist.

To stay anonymous, you can create an account with a nickname or pseudonym. You can also choose whether to engage your therapist on video or keep the video off. Therapists on our platform understand the fact that it might take some patients a while to get used to online sessions.

Who are your therapists?

The professionals on our platform are drawn from diverse fields. We have both counseling and clinical therapists, with experience in different areas. All therapists on our platform are professionals who are duly registered in their fields, and conduct their practice under the same strict ethical guidelines you’d expect from an in-person therapy session.

What kind of problems can I get help with?

We understand that people have various issues for which they might need to see a therapist. For that matter, the therapists on our platform are drawn from diverse fields, so you are welcome to seek help for anything from anxiety, personal life issues, depression, stress from work, low self-esteem, relationship problems, loss, grief, trauma, family problems, marriage problems, alcohol and drug dependency, and so on.

How do I prepare for my first session?

We understand that the first session is usually the hardest, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s not much else you need to do to prepare, other than showing up. The therapists on our platform are professionals, and they know what it takes to get through that first session.

All you have to do is be in a comfortable environment where you won’t feel pressured, be comfortable and have a stable internet connection. While you can engage our therapist from anywhere, it’s advisable to find a quiet place where you can talk freely, especially one without distractions. Allow yourself maybe 15 minutes before your session to calm down and help your mind get into the zone for your session.

Apart from a stable internet connection, you might also need headphones to get you a better audio experience, and also to keep your conversations with your therapist to yourself.

How do you ensure all therapists on the platform are professionals?

All professional applicants must go through a thorough vetting process before their profiles are verified on our platform. Our operations team carefully vets their credentials and CV for authenticity.

We have a good working relationship with prominent therapists in the industry, whose support is crucial in our multi-stage interview process to ensure that we only approve therapists who are qualified and have a good professional record.

Once the interview process is completed, we request the therapists to share their professional certificates with us for verification by our third-party partners and relevant licensing authorities in the industry.

In line with our vision to continually improve our platform and deliver the best services to you, we encourage you to rate or review your therapists. This insight plays a huge role in our continuous assessment of all therapists on our platform, and to ensure that we constantly uphold the best standards of care.

How long can I use this service?

Our platform is built with you in mind, so you are in control. How long it takes will depend on your needs or goals. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so it will take as long as you need it to. Some people feel better after a few weeks, while others take longer. We can’t tell for sure, but you can discuss this with your therapist.

How confidential is your platform?

Alongside the promise of anonymity, our platform was built specifically with you in mind. We prioritize your safety, and are bound by the guarantees in our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions statements. All the information you share on our platform with your therapist is protected and encrypted as per the legal guidelines. There might be exceptions to this rule, however. For example, your therapist is required by law to report potential harm to an identifiable victim, or if you threaten to harm yourself. At the beginning of your session, ask your therapist what legal obligations they abide by other than their professional code of conduct, especially when it comes to confidentiality.

Our encryption protocols are up to date, to ensure that all your conversations with therapists remain privileged and private. On top of that, the therapists on our platform adhere to the strict standards of professionalism and confidentiality as per the Hippocratic oath in their practice.

Can I schedule an in-person session with my therapist?

While our platform is purely digital, you are always in control. If you ever need an in-person session with your therapist, you can discuss it with them and make arrangements together.

Will my insurance reimburse me?

If your medical insurance covers therapy, you’ll most likely be reimbursed. However, insurers have different terms and conditions, so it would be best to consult your insurer for clarification. You can also ask your therapist for assistance since they are well-informed on the insurance partners that support their practice. Some insurers require you to sign and send pre-authorization forms for approval, so engage your therapist and have them sign the forms you need.

How do I find a therapist that understands me?

It is mandatory for our therapists to fill in all the necessary information on their profiles. This makes it easier for you to understand what they are about, at a glance. From their field of cocus to their preferred approach in dealing with various issues, you can learn so much from the therapist’s profile, making it easier to choose someone who can help you get the best results in your healing journey.
